On The morning of September 23, 2019, Toshikazu Miyoshi, professor of polymer science department of The University of Akron, visited The national synchrotron radiation laboratory of The University of Science and Technology of China at The invitation of Li Liangbin, researcher of advanced functional polymer film engineering laboratory in AnHui province. And in the lecture hall, tower 2, titled "Intramolecular and Intermolecular Packing in Polymer Crystallization" was report, report shall be presided over by Chen Wei.

In the presentation, professor Toshikazu Miyoshi introduced the application of solid nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in the field of organic polymer local structure and molecular scale dynamics. This report introduced three topics including chain orbit, filler structure, chemical reaction and molecular dynamics of semi-crystalline polymer.

After the presentation, the teachers and students raised some questions about the contents of Toshikazu Miyoshi's report, and Toshikazu Miyoshi gave detailed answers to them.

After the meeting, professor Toshikazu Miyoshi took a group photo with some teachers and students in the engineering laboratory.

Professor Toshikazu Miyoshi received his PhD in chemistry from Kyoto University in 1997. After completing his postdoctoral work at the Institute of Polymer Research Dresden, Germany, he joined Japan's national Institute of advanced technology and industrial science (AIST) in 2000. In 2010, he joined The University of Akron as an associate professor of polymer science and was promoted to professor. His research interests include the development of solid-state NMR technology and its applications in semi-crystalline and glassy polymers, self-assembly and biomaterials. He has published more than 80 scientific works. Since 2016, he has served on the editorial advisory board of Macromolecules and ACS Macro Letters.
