This research area focuses on the development of world-class in-situ research platforms based on synchrotron radiation and solid-state NMR. It addresses fundamental scientific and technical issues such as phase transitions and deformations during the processing of advanced functional polymer films. The work emphasizes the mechanisms of multiscale, strongly coupled structural evolution during processing and service, as well as their relationships with mechanical, optical, and thermal properties. These studies provide theoretical support for the intelligent manufacturing of advanced functional polymer films.

Research topics include:

1. In-situ research platforms based on synchrotron radiation and solid-state NMR.

2. Mechanisms of multiscale, strongly coupled structural evolution during film processing and service.

3. Correlations between multiscale structures and properties such as mechanical, thermal, and optical performance.
