Individual resume
Rui Yu, National synchrotron radiation laboratory, university of science and technology of China, PhD.
Research direction
Polyolefin nanofiber membrane adsorbents with the AO groups were prepared by preirradiation-induced copolymerization of acrylonitrile and acrylic acid, with subsequent amidoximation of the PAN grafting chains, which is conducive to extract uranium from seawater and adsorb pollutants from the water system.
Study and work experience
2012.9-2016.6 Material chemistry, anhui normal university, bachelor.
2016.9- National synchrotron radiation laboratory, university of science and technology of China, PhD.
Scientific research
A novel nanofiber membranes with high specific surface area was selected as a substrate polymer for grafting by two-step graft polymerization involving radiation-induced grafting polymerization (RIGP) and Ce4+ initiated graft polymerization (CIGP), which successfully fabricate a 3D hierarchical structure on the membrane surface. Furthermore, the surface morphology of the membrane provides more adsorption sites, which is conducive to extract uranium from seawater and adsorb pollutants from the water system.
